Monitoring surface water extent is one of the strengths of SAR Remote Sensing. This training will address the contribution of SAR to water resource management.
SAR-CBC features four application-oriented SAR trainings themed by the AmeriGEOSS Social Benefit Areas Disaster Resilience, Agriculture Monitoring, Water Resource Management, and Ecosystem Sustainability. The content of each training is tailored to the specific needs of the Central- and South-American sector in close collaboration with end-user partners in Ecuador, Colombia, and El Salvador. Training modules will be primarily given first as in-person trainings in the form of three- to four-day workshops. Individual sessions of these workshops will be recorded on site and provided as webinars for future asynchronous learning.
